Special Session: assumptions for cryptography

This two-part special event at TCC 07 has two main goals:
1) Help the community catch up on the rapidly growing collection of complexity assumptions being used in cryptography, and
2) Discuss as a community the ways in which we should go about introducing and using assumptions.

3:45-5:15 pm: Invited Talks

The first goal will be addressed through the following invited talks on the afternoon of Thursday, 22 February (3:45-5:15 pm):

Number-theoretic Assumptions by Dan Boneh (Stanford U.)
Ad-Hoc Constructions by Shai Halevi (IBM Research)
Lattice Problems by Daniele Micciancio (UC San Diego)

8:00-10:00 pm: Panel Discussion

The second goal will be addressed through a panel discussion on the evening of Thursday, 22 February (8-10 pm). The panelists are:
